With a record concerned with loss, survival and self-discovery, this bygone recording process adds more depth and verity to Goss’ songs, taking the listener on a melodic picture-scape that sounds as compelling as it feels. While the album isn’t autobiographical, Goss is an expert storyteller, making you believe his connection to every lyric and turn of the phrase.

There are several themes throughout “Radio Dial,” but the most prominent is that of struggle — the struggle to fight for things that you love, the struggle to find a place in the world, and the struggle that emerges when death injects meaning into the layers of your life. It’s easy to see the ways in which these struggles have helped Goss grow, as an individual and a songwriter, discontent with making music for the sake of staying in a one-genre box he strove to make an album that resonated with the things he loves most about music — a good story and a memorable melody. The break-out track off the album “Red Letter Man“, about that need inside all of us to no longer be invisible and to shed counterfeit notions of who we should be or need to be, grabs your attention immediately. The piano infused melody takes off from the first chord with the rattling and rolling beat of the drum. The chorus, enhanced by Goss’ warm falsetto glow, builds with the help of the guitar as it swells and collapses right along with the lyrical story where he proclaims “If it can’t be taken from you/then you know it was never real.”

One pervasive theme that runs throughout, is the way in which Goss parallels the life of a boxer to the life of an artist, most notably in “Black Lights.” A stripped-down song with ragged, unvarnished vocals shining in the forefront over the sparse yet effective use of guitar, and a drum beat that only serves to carry the melody. He takes his comparison of boxing and artistry to another level, showing how each is a performer at the mercy of their audience, laying everything they have emotionally and physically on the line. The struggle to belong, and to stay true in the face of an ever-confusing adulthood runs rampant on “Home,” an anthem to growing up in a small town, escaping, and learning how those streets will always be a part of you. The rambling instrumentation gives you the distinct feel of traveling, with a 1970′s folk-rock feel and a rousing chorus, it makes the listener believe that there’s still value in always saying what you mean and doing what you love, despite it’s difficulty. On “New York City,” the album’s closing track, Goss highlights the ups-and-downs of living in the sprawling metropolis, the sense of loneliness and yearning you can feel in a gleaming and enormous place. With its melancholic, waltz-time feel, and its listless, storytelling-like vocal, Goss makes you feel as if you’re taking a stroll down the littered sidewalks and through the labyrinthine parks. Again, he highlights the struggles of trying to build a life for yourself in a city of millions, weaving the very theme of the album throughout each track.

Although the songs eschew the deliberately personal, everything about “Radio Dial” encompasses personal threads and ideas deeply meaningful to Goss, from the very cover art that features loom and shuttle patents invented by his great-grandfather in the mid-20th century, a unique and deeply-personal tribute to the history of where he (and his family) came from.

In the past, Jason has earned rave reviews from such publications as The Valley Advocate (Western, MA), and The Ithacan (NY), among many others. He has previously been selected as a finalist in Newport Folk Festival Songwriters Contest and has been a two-time Regional Finalist in the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest (2010 & 2011). He currently resides in Brooklyn and tours consistently throughout the US. The release of “Radio Dial” is sure to gain him a host of new listeners and to place him on list of ones to watch in 2012.

Jason Myles Goss fourth studio album “Radio Dial” was  released on June 17th, 2012 to rave reviews.

Rebecca Pronsky & Band
Thurs. July 18th at 8PM. Tickets are $8. Click on the buy tickets Tab to reserve your table.

Picture
Rebecca Pronsky may be Brooklyn born, raised, and based but the twangy
folk she creates on her Nine Mile Records sophomore disc
'Viewinder' sounds more at  home in the deep woods and green
pastures of Parsonsfield, Maine where  it was recorded. Rebecca spent
two weeks holed up with her band  at Great North Sound Society  with engineer
Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, John Prine)
creating the sweeping soundscapes that dominate 'Viewfinder'.  The
songs convincingly range from broodingly ambient to upbeat twang.
'Viewfinder' has received loads of accolades on both sides of the Atlantic.
UK's R2 gave it 4 stars saying she's "head and shoulders above
most of her contemporaries, an outstanding lyricist with the ability
to stop you in your tracks"
and Common Folk Music calls the
album "one of the finest singer-songwriter records of 2011."NPR  chose track one "Hard Times" for
their Song of the Day program.
Rebecca has been touring heavily for the past five years with husband/lead
guitarist Rich Bennett who "puts the
trimmings on the music with a battery of echo drenched, twangy leads."

Rebecca has shared stages with a group
of varied artists including Shawn Colvin, Freedy
Johnston
,   Patty Larkin, Peter Case, Josh
Ritter
, Erin  McKeown, Loudon Wainwright
III
, Caroline Herring,  Sarah Bettens of K's
Choice
, Elvis Perkins in Dearland,  The
Everybodyfields
, Shannon McNally, Catie Curtis,
The Bowerbirds, Eilen Jewell, Tracy Grammer,
Carrie Rodriguez, Wayne Hancock, Amy Rigby &
  Wreckless Eric
, Steve Forbert, and many more.
Rebecca's musical life began early. As a child, her powerful voice and
musical talent stuck out and she was encouraged to pursue vocal
training  in New York City. But it wasn't until she was 16, after many
years of  singing other people's songs, that she picked up the guitar
and began  to write her own. At Brown University, Rebecca discovered
ethnomusicology and jazz singing and recorded her first demo of
original music. Demo and diploma in hand, Rebecca moved back home to
Brooklyn. Soon she met  guitarist and composer Rich Bennett who helped  her record her
first EP and has been her musical partner and co-producer   ever since.
The two finally married this summer. When not on the road,  they are at
home in Brooklyn with their three cats Basil, Cybele and  Sven.

Miche' Fambro  Sept. 14th at 9PM. Tickets are just $8 and can be purchased here on the Visionary Website!

Picture
On Saturday September 14th the Bistro will play host
to world class guitarist and jazz performer Miche Fambro from Philadelphia, PA.
He is a man of many skills, Miché
captivates his listeners with his mastery of the guitar, but his mastery of the guitar is not his only forte; Miché is an amazing singer with skills that equally match that of his guitar playing. The bottom line is that Miché knows how to entertain; and he does it well.
One of the magical parts about
Miché’s performances is that he fuses elements of flamenco, jazz, classical, pop  and soul into a style all his own.

“A quiet storm, and his shows combine that intensity with a
playful spontaneity that engages both the senses and the hearts of those who
listen”

-Rolling Stone-

“This guy is not only a classical guitar virtuoso; he's got a
set of vocal pipes that are unbelievable. A fantastic performance unlike any
I've ever heard."

 -Listeners Generation-

“It's the only band I have ever followed around the country... I
wasn't the only one.  Miché Fambro looked like actor LeVar Burton, played guitar like Michael Hedges, and sang like some vocal intersection of Al Jareau, John Popper and Corey
Glover”

The Jill Jack Band Saturday Sept. 28th at 9PM. Tickets are just $8 and can be purchased here on the Visionary Website!

"Jill Jack; I just keep thinking somehow that if Waylon Jennings
was a woman, it would be her! She's sharp, she's witty, and she's got soul. Most
important, I think based on her songwriting and style, she's got staying power;
she gives Tift Merritt some real competition."
-- WDVR-FM in
New Jersey

"Jill is freakin' awesome! Her beauty and talent is matched by an
an equally beautiful and warm personality."
-- Honky Tonk
House Concerts, Streetsboro, OH

"Jill Jack  has all the makings of a major talent. She's got the
stage presence, the voice, the ability to interpret songs passionately ...
there's a lot of soul in what she does"
-- Billboard
Magazine

"Her voice can soar like opera and smoke like the blues ... one
of the strongest voices in Detroit, or in the country for that
matter."
-- The Detroit Free Press
"Jill Jack's 'Moon And The Morning After' is the best record of
its kind I've heard this year."
-- Stewart
Francke

"That she can create a musical tapestry that allows elegance,
grace, and rugged self reliance equal weight is a gift. That she can carry them
all in the grain of her voice as the foundations of hard won truth is
beautiful."
-- All Music Guide.com
"Jack has become one of the few musicians who has managed to walk
the tightrope between hardworking ubiquity on the live circuit and critical and
popular consistency."
-- Metro Times

Higgins Madewell Saturday November 16th at 9PM. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here on the Visionary Website.

Picture
Don’t miss this dynamic acoustic duo. Higgins-Madewell was voted No. 1 Band in the Dayton area 3 years in a row, 2010, 2011 and 2012!!!
The music of Higgins-Madewell is a combination of strong vocals, acoustic guitar and heartfelt original lyrics that is difficult to classify as one specific genre. Their original music, for example, ranges from the country sound of their very popular "Like a Stone" and "Little Things" to the bluesy/folky sounds of "Livin Blue" and "Voice For the Children." Their music appeals to a broad range of people and their fan base spans from teens to retirees. Their stage compatibility and humor is often compared to Johnny Cash and June Carter. Both artists have dedicated their careers to music, have a broad background of musical experience, and in previous bands have opened for national acts including The Plain White T's, Rick Derringer, Firehouse, The Tubes, XYZ, Shotgun Messiah, Baton Rouge, Lillian Axe, White Trash, Hurricane, and Metal Church. Their influences include AC/DC, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Beth Hart. This may sound like a strange combination, but once you've seen them perform it makes perfect sense! Their versatility, professionalism, dedication and genuine love for the audience is very apparent. Erin Higgins' incredible vocal range allows her to cover everything from the low register of Billy Joel's "Piano Man" to Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" and Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child o' Mine," then seamlessly flow into a performance of "Me & Bobby McGee" that will leave you stunned. In addition she plays acoustic guitar and harmonica (she is also quite the fiddler/violinist!). She's been performing live for more than 15 years. Jeff Madewell has performed in live bands since the age of 16. After winning a battle with Cancer and the loss of the majority of his vision at 19, he dedicated himself solely to music and the music industry. He managed several of his former bands including "Madewell," who opened for national acts, received radio airplay and traveled and performed at a multi-state level. He recorded and produced the Higgins-Madewell CD "Spider Bite" at his production studio as well as his former band Love Junkie's CD "Is This Us?."

John continues to tour throughout the United States, building his fan base
while also playing solidly in the New York/NJ/Philadelphia
area.

"John Byrne’s After The Wake is the sort of album that an
artist spends their entire career trying to create. Every once in a while
someone actually manages to do it; mix splendid story-telling skills, top-notch
musicianship, and a grand creative sense with just the right mix of songs. After
The Wake is nothing short of a brilliant collection"Wildy’s World

"One of the few musical artists today who truly manage to be
traditional and modern at the same time." Philadelphia Inquirer

"Up and coming Trad star hits the sweet spot . . . beautifully
played . . . its Byrne’s natural vocal delivery that makes the album stand out
from the crowd"Hot Press (Ireland)

"He’s good, period, with material that’s edgy yet accessible in
a Luka Bloom meets Bob Dylan kind of way."Philadelphia Daily News

"After the Wake is the perfect combination of Celtic and American folk
music."Record-Journal Newspape

Carey Murdock Will be BACK at the Bistro on Saturday May 11th! Tickets for this 9PM show can be purchased here on our website for just $8. Opening for Murdock at 8PM will be the Talented Brother/Sister Duo SaMax.

Picture
Originally from North Augusta, SC - the town across the river from Augusta,
Georgia where he was born, Carey Murdock relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in
August of 2011 after years of touring based out of Augusta. Sharon Jones, the
famed soul singer, called and left him a voicemail to wish him luck on his move
to Music City. Carey Murdock has since shared the stage with Shovels and Rope,
Shawn Mullins, Tracy Lawrence, Mountain Heart, Jessica Lea Mayfield, and more.
His latest album "Baby Don't Look Down" was produced by Patrick Blanchard (Shawn
Mullins) features Cary Ann Hearst of Shovels & Rope on guest vocals, and
Bandcamp named it a Staff Pick Favorite. Currently, Carey Murdock tours the US
and Europe regularly. He just wrapped up the first of many sessions with
producer Rick Beato (Needtobreathe, Crowfield, Shinedown) on what is the first
of many "digital 45" releases. This session produced the new songs "Shot in the
Dark" and "You're Leaving Me" which was just released in January, 2013. Carey played the Bistro in 2012 and was an instant crowd favorite. He has been compared to a young Bruce Springsteen but his style is really all his own. His is a fresh new voice on the music scene and its destined for big things. Don't miss this one!

Beth Wood Thurs. April 4th at 8PM. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here on our website.
Reserve your table now! opening for Wood will be Elaine Sutton at 7:30

Picture
Picture a home-body with an ever-present wanderlust, an introvert with a passion for performing, a creative free-spirit with enough discipline to rework her dream year after year, calloused little hands and a big pile of curly hair…and you’ve got Beth Wood, modern-day troubadour.

Picture a tumbleweed blowing across the plains of west Texas, and another musician-songwriter is born!  Beth Wood began her musical journey in Lubbock, a high plains Texas town with a uniquely rich musical heritage that includes Buddy Holly, Natalie and Lloyd Maines, Mac Davis, and Joe Ely to name a few.  When she wasn’t dodging tornados and dust storms, Beth was studying classical piano, violin, harp, and voice and contemplating the greatness of her Dad’s Willie Nelson records.

With grandiose dreams of becoming a musician, a baker, or a cowgirl, Beth left west Texas to study voice and piano at Brevard College in North Carolina.  A detour from her classical studies led her to Austin, where she picked up a degree in literature and a guitar.  Beth began writing her own songs and quickly discovered a feeling of musical freedom that she has been hooked on ever since.  Fifteen years, thousands of shows, nine albums, three cars, and numerous awards later, Beth has never looked back.  Beth’s exceptional musicianship, crafty songwriting, and engaging, energetic stage presence have been winning over audiences from coast to coast.

“The Weather Inside,” Beth’s eighth studio release, is a case study in contrast.  A coming-of-age statement record from a veteran artist, Beth’s latest work embraces strength and tenderness, the polished and the well-worn, the broken and the hopeful heart.   Produced by Billy Crockett at Blue Rock Studio in Wimberley, TX, “The Weather Inside” delves deep into Beth’s creative reserves and delivers a strong collection of songs and performances to remember.

Beth and her husband and their sweet dog Marble now live in beautiful Eugene, Oregon. Beth is settling in to the Northwest music scene, where she has been featured on OPB’s “Artbeat” tv show, Ninkasi’s Northwest Music sampler, and the Sisters Folk Festival and Song Academy.

“A superb singer/songwriter whose versatility discourages labeling.” — Fort Worth Star-Telegram

“Beth Wood is a musical triple-threat — a thoughtful songwriter and talented multi-instrumentalist with a supple, soulful voice.” — Washington Post

“Wood is about as good as it gets if you appreciate the singer/songwriter genre.” – Charlotte Creative Loafing

“Lord have mercy…Wood is a down-home, old-fashioned girl with a wicked streak” — Indie-music.com

“…when you come across a recording like Beth Wood’s “The Weather Inside” you take note and recognize that this is the work of a genuine artist with a remarkable voice determined to make meaningful and lasting art.” –Lone Star Music Magazine

The Rolling Stones Of Country Music!!
Once upon a time them boys started jammin', and God looked down and said, "It is good".
There’s no use in trying to compare or describe what they do. You can’t
really accurately and fully recreate the show experience to a friend. There’s a
good chance you find yourself bored with whatever follows them on your iPod. The
one thing you can do is keep listening. You have to. You can’t stop watching.
You can’t stop moving. You can’t stop singing.

BLACKJACK BILLY is Rob Blackledge and Noll Billings.

When they met in January of 2011, they had no idea that less than a year
later they would be creating and molding a sound that Nashville had never heard;
a sound that Nashville desperately needed.
It was, and is, a perfect mixing
pot. Blackledge, hailing from Madison, MS, brought the blues, soul, country and
melody. Billings, hailing from Kennett, MO stirred in the rock, more country,
hip-hop, and beat. Producer Jeff Coplan tied it together with a vision and an
electric guitar and what you got can only be described as BLACKJACK BILLY.

Collectively for Rob and Noll the past year has been monumental. After
teaming up with producer Jeff Coplan (Love and Theft, Bowling For Soup) they
were quickly noticed by Nashville music insider Doug Howard (Lyric Street
Records, Polygram Music Publishing) who signed the boys to his new publishing
company, Vandermont Music. Let the writing begin. In their first year, the duo
has written and recorded over 30 songs, played nearly 50 shows and already
shared the stage with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, The Doobie
Brothers, Trent Tomlinson, The Usual Suspects, Lady Antebellum, One Republic,
Tonic, Josh Hoge, Will Hoge, Chris Young, Easton Corbin, and Lo Cash Cowboys.
All of this activity caught the eye of Nashville icon Tony Conway. Conway has
recently picked up the reigns as manager of this rocketing young duo.

Sarah Peacock July 3rd 2012 at 8 PM. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Picture
Big things definitely come in small packages! Sarah Peacock is a powerhouse pop country vocalist and performer with a style reminiscent of Heart’s Ann Wilson and a boot-kickin’ twist of the Sugarland “country-ness.” Add a hint of classic rock on the palate, throw in the fact that her songs are melodic and catchy, and you’ve got a star in the making!

Averaging over 200 dates a year, Atlanta native, Sarah Peacock tours full time to cities all over the globe. You may have seen or heard her on Comcast, WGN, Me.TV, various FOX network stations or radio stations across the country. Her debut album, "Straight For Your Heart" was released on Maze Records in 2009, but she purchased her contract and rights to masters in March of 2011 and will re-release the project under her own label this year.

Blame Sally August 25th 2012 at 9PM. Tickets are $12 at the Door or call 567-259-3064 to reserve your table now!

Picture
A Blame Sally show feels like a house concert — relaxed, good humored, and unpretentious. This veteran San Francisco folk rock band is comfortable in its accomplished musical skin and in its warm and easy contact with one another and the audience.

At the Napa Valley Opera House last Friday night, they delivered a crowd-pleasing 17-song set drawn from five albums recorded over the past nine years.

Each of the four “Sallies,” as their fans refer to them, is a multi-instrumentalist and a first-rate vocalist. Monica Pasqual plays piano and accordion, Jeri Jones is a guitarist and mandolinist, Renee Harcourt plays guitar and harmonica, and Pam Delgado is on drums and percussion. The band is celebrating itsr just-released CD, “Live at KVIE Studios: A Concert for Public Television.”

There is an important fifth musician. Rob Strom plays the six-string electric bass and a big stand-up acoustic bass, and provides a strong rhythm foundation for the band.

The performance drew heavily from the group’s 2011 album, “Speeding Ticket and a Valentine,” and the 2007 release, “Severland.” Harcourt, Delgado, and Pasqual swapped lead vocals wrapped in pitch-perfect and seamless two-, three-, and four-part harmonies, while Jones and Pasqual provided the bulk of the instrumental solos.

Throughout the evening, Harcourt, the most “folkie” of the four, displayed her fingerpicking prowess on her Taylor acoustic guitar. Early in the set, she played an elegant flamenco-flavored introduction to “Pajaros Sin Alas,” and later accompanied herself on “Orange,” a lovely folk song written for her daughter. She also played a handful of harmonica solos. The most powerful was a rack-mounted break on “Fillmore Street,” which was positively Dylanesque.

If Harcourt is the folkie, Jones is the rocker. While she does her share of harmony vocals, her main job is to play the electric guitar, and she does it with joy, attitude and chops. Her principal instrument is a Bill Nash custom Telecaster, but she often swaps it for her Regal Resophonic (Dobro-style) guitar, on which she plays mostly slide. She also provides tasteful contributions on mandolin. Her solo highlights included breaks on “Moth to a Flame,” “Vera Chiesa,” “Our Religion,” the countrified “Trouble,” and the hardest rocker of the night, “Her Name is a Knife.”

Pasqual took the vocal lead on several songs, notably “Bird in Hand,” “Countdown,” “Constance No More,” and “Fillmore Street,” and instrumentally played either the accordion or the Opera House’s beautiful Steinway baby grand piano. Her keyboard work was tasteful and fluid, complementing the singing in solos and fills, though at times it was difficult to hear the piano. The audience would have benefited from a sound mix, which was otherwise excellent, that created more presence for the Steinway.

Delgado was an energy force on the right side of the stage. Standing behind a “cocktail” drum kit or seated for hand percussion, she is the rhythmic furnace of the band. Her musicianship and radiant presence simply demand your attention. And aside from being a great percussionist, she is a terrific vocalist, singing leads on “Big, Big Bed,” and “Trouble,” and principal harmonies on duets with Harcourt and Pasqual.

Like any good performing band, Blame Sally knows how to end a show. Closing out the main set with an ovation-inducing rocker, the band returned for its encore with the only cover of the night. Harcourt started it alone, the instantly recognizable guitar riff of Fleetwood Mac’s “Never Going Back Again.” In close three-part harmony, Delgado, Jones, and Pasqual sang it spare with a taste of Jones’s mandolin and a pinch of percussion. The audience ate it up.

The band finished them off with “Hurricane,” a hard driving rocker that began with restraint, Jones playing raga teases alone on the resophonic guitar. Then Delgado began singing a capella and intentionally off mic. She was easily audible given her powerful alto voice. Seated on the cájon — it looks like a box but it’s a drum — she swayed to the right of the microphone, then to the left, continuing unamplified. Finally, she slammed the palm of her right hand against the cájon on the downbeat, and the full band burst in. It felt like an electric shock went through the hall. The percussionist, who at this point had the audience in the palms of her rhythmic hands, finished her lead on mic and the Sallies rocked out.
WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING ABOUT BLAME SALLY
“Back and forth motion of the head. Continuous tapping of the feet. Eyes half closed in a near euphoric state. There is only one group you can blame this on: You got it!!” -Gene Shay/WXPN Philadelphia

“The band’s four-part harmonies should not be missed. Don’t blame us if you’re the last on your block to check out Blame Sally.” -Performing Songwriter

“Collectively they create multihued sonic and emotional tapestries, recalling the artful romanticism of Jane Siberry, the rich folk harmonies of the Indigo Girls and the percolating soulfulness of Joy of Cooking.” -San Francisco Chronicle

“Blame Sally has one of the most powerful word-of-mouth success stories I’ve heard in recent years. It’s like they came out of nowhere and suddenly, everybody wanted to tell you about them.” -Rock critic Joel Selvin

“One of the finest bands in America right now, like a folk-based U2.” -San Diego Troubadour

" Blame Sally’s vital, original sound will inspire so many disparate comparisons – they’ve been likened to everyone from the Indigo Girls to the Dixie Chicks, and from the Wailin’ Jennys to Radiohead! – that the uninitiated will have no choice but to check them out and hear it for themselves.'

Alan Rhody October 11th 2012 8 PM. Tickets are $8 at the Door or call 567-259-3064 to reserve your table
now!

Picture
To date Rhody has released nine independent solo albums. His latest, "Led by Love" (2012) is a living breathing testimony to his own life's lessons and to his story-telling in song, sometimes dark or melancholy observations of the world we live in but also sometimes extremely humorous. Rhody is at his poetic and energetic best on the new record, whether dealing with petty crime or real love ("Somebody To Care") for which there is a new video out, or war through the eyes of a young boy ("Arrowhead") or the sad absence of honesty and trust in today's politics and some of the out of control media ("They Call Me The Truth"), as well as his more vunerable personal side ("Old D-28").

In the fall of 1977, Rhody soon found himself with a fast moving hit on his hands by a gospel quartet making their first ventures into country music. Rhody would later included the song on his own first full length album, "Stop The Rain" (1981). The song was his haunting ballad, "I'll Be True To You" and the former gospel group was The Oak Ridge Boys. Now over four million in sales and having become a "Country Classic" on radio worldwide, "I'll Be True To You" first hit #1 on all three country charts and crossed over into the Billboard Hot 100 in the summer of 1978.

For the last thirty-plus years, Alan Rhody has been delighting audiences across North America, at festivals, theaters, universities, house concerts and folk clubs and conducting songwriter workshops along the way. His songs have been covered by a long list of major artists in country, folk and bluegrass and include several other top hits. Some of those artists are: Del McCoury, The Atlanta Rhythm Section; Suzy Boggus; Michael Martin Murphey; The Oak Ridge Boys; Lorrie Morgan; George Jones; Toby Keith; Lee Greenwood; John Schneider; Lynn Anderson; Ricky Van Shelton and Tanya Tucker.

Better Than Bacon is a Rock 'n' Roll band based out of Fort
Collins, Colorado.

We’ve traveled more than 20,000 miles over the
majestic mountains and raging rivers of Colorado, finding favor among festivals,
ski towns, juke-joints and the late-night party scene, as well as from venue
owners and fellow musicians....here's what people are
saying...

"Overall, the entire album is a well-constructed journey that has an intriguingly classic tone - mixing elements of blues, funk, soul, rock, psychedelic and jam with sizzling guitar, Better Than Bacon, plays like a band straight out of a bygone era" - Music Marauders.com

"With
gritty lyrics, funky and soulful melodies, full-on rock and roll guitar licks
and overall musical talent, the band reminds me of a Widespread Panic type -
this band does not disappoint, as their soulful southern jams satisfy the same
tastes as their greasy namesake" - Mousike Magazine

"A more old-school approach of trying to honor the spirit and
emotion of the music" - Vail Daily

"The show was a rocking
spectacle with the right amount of give and take, with attention to songwriting
and crafting great music - the balance between Jame's crisp vocals and Ryan's
soulful voice add a rich dynamic to the performance." - Music
